After the completion of an undergraduate degree in Cosmetology in 1986, Suzanne began her career by accepting an apprenticeship in a large and successful salon in Western North Carolina. She was fortunate enough to fall under the tutelage of the salon owner whose personal motto was, “Together We Succeed”. During this time, she was exposed to not only many career building experiences, but also to some of the best and creative artists in the industry. The rigorous and demanding education included learning hands-on from the top colorists and hair cutters in the county.
After completing the apprenticeship, she then extended her talents further by continuing her education at the Jingles Academy located in New York City. There her skills were perfected by European artists with a flair for traditional styling as well as exciting urban looks.
After re-locating to the Upstate of South Carolina in 1990, Suzanne’s career took on an added dimension when she was accepted as a Regional Performing Artist for Redken. During this phase of her career, she worked as an educator whose responsibilities included the advanced technical training for licensed professionals with a territory which covered from Virginia to the Virgin Islands. To better improve her ability to direct and motivate, to teach and educate, Suzanne enrolled and completed a “Train the Trainer” course at the Graham Webb Academy in Washington, D.C., where she learned valuable skills that she continues to use daily while working with other artists and her customers.
Suzanne has also owned two salons and is now happy to be a part of a talented and well-staffed team of stylists at Regency Salon and Spa, where the same level of excellence is always achieved.
